“You need an attorney who will fight for everything you need to care for your loved ones, not one who is too quick to settle,” says Charles G. Monnett III, the firm’s founder.

Monnett, a trial lawyer with extensive courtroom experience, is nothing if not a fighter. In 2006, he secured a $10 million verdict for a child who suffered a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident. When the insurer refused to pay, Monnett filed against the company. Today, the family need not worry about providing for their incapacitated child.

Monnett, who often educates other attorneys about these cases, was recently appointed by Governor Mike Easley to a second term on the North Carolina Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council. “These injuries are heartbreaking,” he says. “I want to do all I can to prevent them, and to help those who’ve suffered them due to the negligence of others.”
