Twiggs is a former president of both the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA) and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. Beskind, in addition to his full-time practice, is a senior lecturer at Duke Law School and directs its trial practice program. Strickland, the firm’s managing partner, has served on the board of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. Karen Rabenau serves on the board of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, is the chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Medico-Legal Liaison Committee and is a frequent speaker on medical-legal topics.
