Profile

Ms. Coffey began her career as Law Clerk to United States District Judge William L. Osteen for the Middle District of North Carolina where she was exposed to a broad trial experience and litigation practice. For the last 14 years, Ms. Coffey has practiced in the areas of professional malpractice defense, white-collar and health care criminal defense, commercial litigation, and employment law, having specialized in hospital and physician malpractice and health care defense for the majority of her practice. Representative clients include Novant Health, Inc. and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Coffey has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts in North Carolina. She is a 1990 and 1993 graduate of Wake Forest University and the School of Law, both with honors.
