Attorney Amy Weis of Babbitt & Weis, LLP, in Columbus, Ohio, is an Ohio State Bar Association family relations law specialist who practices exclusively in the areas of family and matrimonial law.
Weis has obtained favorable judgments and settlements while representing high-income clients in child support and spousal support cases. Further, she has devoted substantial effort to protecting client interests through prenuptial agreements.
A magna cum laude graduate of Capital University Law School, Weis was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1996. Currently, she serves as president-elect of the Ohio chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Previously, she served as the organization's vice president. In 2002, she was chair of the Domestic Relations Committee of the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association.
Weis was recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers® in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and was listed as a Super Lawyers® Rising Star in 2007.
Weis has written on the law and lectured on its practice. In 1997, she co-authored "Using Discovery to Your Client's Advantage," which the Ohio CLE Institute selected for publication in its "The Best of Family Law 1997" publication.
