Spriggs serves as co-chair of the firm’s Government & Legislative Affairs practice group and offers her clients effective and reputable lobbying on both legislative and regulatory matters. Élise also works in the firm’s Administrative Law and Gaming Law areas; she joined the firm in 2005. Government & Legislative Affairs As co-chair of the firm’s Government & Legislative Affairs area, Élise assists firm clients with their government and regulatory issues and advises them on pending legislation that will affect their business operations. She also works to ensure that her clients are in full compliance with legislative ethics and lobbyist disclosure guidelines in Ohio and nationally. Élise has a vast professional background in Ohio government at the highest levels and has extensive experience with issues dealing with health care, energy and land development, government regulations and permitting, public bidding, procurement and appropriations. As it relates to campaigns and the electoral process, Élise’s talents extend to the formation and administration of political action committees (PACs) and counseling clients in campaign finance and election laws. Élise has developed a reputation for her ability to analyze complex public policy issues, convey messages effectively to public policy makers, and develop win-win solutions for firm clients, thus increasing their standing and visibility in the state capital. She works closely with her representative clients, from local organizations to international conglomerates, and navigates successful outcomes for them by advocating their interests and testifying before committees in the Ohio legislature, the U.S. Congress, executive agencies and other federal agencies.
