Profile

My practice is focused on the trial and resolution of catastrophic injury claims arising from medical, pharmaceutical, product or transportation negligence.  I take pride in representing my clients and understand the privilege and responsibility of representing the catastrophically injured client.  The legal process is complex and costly.  I feel my balanced experience, and our firms resources allow us to provide clear answers to our clients, and invest the necessary costs to advance these claims. In 16 years I have tried more then 70 trials to jury for a variety of clients.  Criminally, I  tried felony cases for both the State of Ohio  and Defendants.  Civilly, I represented and tried cases for Hospitals, Insurers and Physicians for 8 years.  In 2002, I undertook the representaion of plaintiffs, and have done so for the last 7 years.   The balance of my experience assists in understanding and presenting to juries complex issues.I speak to legal and medical groups on liability (particularly birth injury) throughout the country and internationally.  In 2008, I was a reviewer in a fetal monitoring textbook which is used by physicians.  I have been privileged to assist families and provide more then 100 million dollar in recoveries to my clients.  The monetary amount is relevant, but the impact for these families is the true reward.  Through annuities, trusts and life care plans the monetary compensation has maximized the quality of medical care, and provided through adaptaions and support  independence for our clients.

Testimonials

"To say the least, I'm very happy with the response I received from my profile in Super Lawyers. As a result of my profile I received over two dozen "potential client" calls; 14 of those people became new clients. In addition to new business, almost half of my current clients saw my Super Lawyers profile."
