Steve began his career as a defense lawyer defending medical malpractice, insurance defense and product liability claims. Steve tried over 100 cases to verdict throughout Ohio and on behalf of many insurance companies and hospitals. In 2001 Steve utilized this experience when he changed the focus of his practice to representing injured individuals and their family against the same insurance industry he once represented. This experience in the courtroom, combined with the knowledge of how the insurance industry evaluates claims makes Steve a unique lawyer to hire for your case.

Since becoming a Plaintiff's lawyer in 2001 Steve has been primary counsel on many of the largest verdicts and settlements in Ohio on an annual basis. Steve has also participated in various products liability claims, including Vioxx, Ortho Evra and Chantix litigation as well as trucking liability and major personal injury claims of all kinds. As a medical malpractice, product defect and personal injury trial lawyer at Crandall Law, LLC, he represents clients throughout the 88 Ohio counties and into Kentucky and was primary counsel on the largest verdict in numerous counties throughout Ohio.

Steve has lectured throughout the country to various legal and medical organizations including the 6th Annual National Conference on Fetal Monitoring in 2005, The 7th Annual Conference on Fetal Monitoring in 2006, The 11th Annual Winter Conference on Obstetrics/Gynecology in 2007 and the 8th Annual Conference on Fetal Monitoring in 2007. Steve has lectured to various risk management groups including to the insurance industry in 1997,1999 and 2000, How to Win a Civil Trial for PESI in 2005 and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers in 2006 and Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys in 2006.

Steve is a Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers Board Member for 2009-Present and was certified by the National Board of Civil Trial Advocates as a Board Certified Trial Lawyer, an accomplishment that is achieved by less than 5% of lawyers in the U.S. He is also a Life Member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Steve is a member of various Local, State and National Bar Associations as well.
