Thomas Pillari is a partner at the law firm of Wickens, Herzer, Panza, Cook & Batista Co., located in Avon and Sandusky, Ohio. Mr. Pillari chairs the firm’s probate and estate planning department while focusing his own practice on achieving the tax and non-tax objectives of clients through coordinated personal estate planning and business succession planning.

Mr. Pillari received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago in 1972 and began his legal career in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Air Force. He also holds an advanced legal degree in estate planning from University of Miami School of Law (LL.M, 1997).

Mr. Pillari’s professional affiliations and distinguishing honors include his elected membership in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, his state bar certification as a an estate planning, probate and trust law specialist and the AV Preeminent* peer review rating he holds through Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Pillari has been a frequently featured speaker to attorneys, as well as to the public, on topics related to his practice. Lastly, Mr. Pillari is also actively involved in the community and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
