Richard Books has been a respected attorney for more than 30 years. His practice revolves around oil, gas and energy law, administrative law and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Mr. Books’ clients have included major independent gas and oil producers, significant oil and gas companies, individual royalty owners and small development and exploration corporations.
Mr. Books has served as a frequent faculty member at oil and gas seminars throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. He is also past president of the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society. Currently, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Mineral Lawyers Society of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma City Association of Petroleum Landmen.
In 1974, Mr. Books earned his B.A. in Political Science from Phillips University. He graduated with his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1977. While attending law school, he was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and Order of the Coif.
