Eckell, Sparks, Levy, Auerbach, Monte, Sloane, Matthews & Auslander, P.C. is the oldest and largest native law firm in Delaware County. The firm’s founders and shareholders, most pictured here, are leaders of their profession. Murray S. Eckell, founding shareholder and real estate department chair, is a former judge, former chair of the disciplinary board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and past governor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as past president of the Delaware County Bar Association. Murray concentrates his practice in residential, commercial and industrial real estate law. Arthur Levy (not pictured), now of counsel to the firm, has served a myriad of public entities with proficiency in municipal and school law. Arthur has also won the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation’s Louis J. Goffman award for his pro bono service. David E. Auerbach, chair of the family law department, is recognized as one of the top family law lawyers in the state. He wrote one of the definitive analyses of the 1990 Divorce Code. Joseph L. Monte Jr., chair of the estates and trusts department, is a former president of the Attorney-CPA Forum of Delaware County and has earned advanced degrees in taxation. Joe concentrates his practice in trusts and estates. Sam S. Auslander, chair of the municipal law department, has served as solicitor to a number of Delaware County municipalities. As an experienced municipal litigator, he provides our business and real estate clients with exceptional legal representation in land development, zoning and tax assessment matters. Leonard A. Sloane, chair of the litigation department, has been selected for the fourth year to the Top 100 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list. He is a past president of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, current governor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and is author of the leading treatise on Pennsylvania automobile insurance law. The Delaware County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association have presented Len with every major award available to its members. W. Donald Sparks (not pictured), co-founder and of counsel to the firm, principally practices family law and criminal law. Don has the reputation as a true “lawyer’s lawyer.” Shareholder Guy F. Matthews brings a virtuoso background in business administration and financial consultancy to his business, estate and financial planning practice. Guy has a reputation of always being available to his clients.
