Ms. Schmidt Bresnahan began her legal career with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office and then worked as an associate attorney for Goldberg, Gruener, Gentile, Horoho & Avalli for five years before joining the firm Voelker, Gricks & Schmidt, LLP and then joined Leger & Ball, P.C. in 2010 as a Shareholder, which is now known as Fiscus & Ball, P.C.   Ms. Schmidt Bresnahan was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer “Rising Star” Family Law (2006 and 2011) and was recognized as one of Pittsburgh’s “50 Finest” young professionals (2005). Ms. Schmidt Bresnahan is currently Secretary of the Brehon Society of Irish Lawmakers, Western PA Chapter; and former committee person of Dormont Borough’s 5th District and former Council Person for Dormont Borough. Ms. Schmidt is a past council member of the Family Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.  Ms. Schmidt concentrates her practice in Family Law, including divorce, custody, prenuptial, postnuptial, and property settlement agreements, disputes regarding alimony, spousal support, child support and protection from abuse.  The firm also provides counsel in the area of Real Estate Law, Oil and Gas Representation, Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Estate Planning and Administration, and Corporate and Business Law.
