Jed D. Melnick, Esq. is a Panelist at JAMS and the Managing Partner for Weinstein Melnick LLC, working alongside the Hon. Daniel Weinstein (Ret.) one of the nation’s preeminent mediators of complex civil disputes. Mr. Melnick has been involved in the mediation and successful resolution of hundreds of complex disputes with an aggregate value in the billions of dollars. He has mediated over 500 disputes, published articles on mediation, founded a nationally ranked dispute resolution journal and taught young mediators. Mr. Melnick is the current youngest JAMS Panelist by at least 10 years.

Verdicts and Settlements:
- Both in a lead and co-mediating role with Hon. Daniel Weinstein (Ret.), Mr. Melnick has led settlement efforts of numerous multi-million dollar settlements in jurisdictions across the country. In 2011 Mr. Melnick had a lead role settling numerous cases coming out of the Lehman Brother's Bankruptcy. He has settled numerous Lehman related Securities matters, Mortgage Backed Securities matters and ARS matters.
In Philadelphia, he has played an instrumental role in settling The Adelphia Recovery Trust's case against Deloitte for 167 million dollars previously pending in front of Judge Abramson in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas as well as the ABFS Trust's case against the Wall Street financial institutions that settled in 2009 for 100 million dollars previously pending in front of Judge Bernstein also in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Melnick also helped to lead settlement efforts that led to settlement of the ABFS Trustee and Noteholder's case against the Directors and Officers of ABFS and related litigation that collectively settled for more than 50 million dollars. Mr. Melnick is currently helping to lead settlement efforts between the Adelphia Recovery Trust and over 20 financial institutions pending before Judge McKenna in the Southern District of New York in which the trustee is alleging damages in the billions of dollars.
