Profile

The founder and managing partner of Williams Family Law, P.C., Jeffrey M. Williams represents clients in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He focuses his practice on family law, handling cases involving the following matters: complex divorce, complex child support, high-income alimony or spousal support, domestic relations and high-conflict child custody cases.
In 1978, Mr. Williams graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended Emory University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1981.

After spending four years as an assistant deputy district attorney in Bucks County, Mr. Williams decided to change his focus over to family law. He is the first attorney in Pennsylvania to have litigated a same-sex child custody case successfully, representing a nonbirth mother, and is considered one of the state's top family law attorneys. Mr. Williams was listed in The Best Lawyers in America* by U.S. News & World Report; he was named one of 10 leaders in matrimonial and divorce law for the greater Philadelphia area; the Pennsylvania Bar Association presented him with a special achievement award in 2011; and he holds the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent** from Martindale Hubbell.

Involvement in the legal and local community is important to Mr. Williams. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Bucks County Bar Association, the family law section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the American College of Family Trial Lawyers. Over the years, Mr. Williams has held many positions within these organizations such as treasurer, chairman, board of directors and vice chairman. In addition to his legal activities, Mr. Williams is the former director of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County and A Woman's Place domestic violence center.
