Profile

Patricia V. Pierce heads the Employment and Complex Litigation Practice at Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt & Flores LLC. Ms. Pierce has represented individuals and groups of workers who have suffered employment discrimination and workplace harassment litigating individual and class action employment lawsuits, as well as employee benefits cases in state and federal courts in California, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a frequent author and lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the National Employment Lawyers Association where she serves on NELA’s 2011 Convention Committee. Ms. Pierce was a Visiting Professor of Law at Santa Clara University where she founded an Employment Law Clinic and taught Evidence. In Philadelphia, Ms. Pierce served as an Adjunct Professor at Temple’s Beasley School of Law and taught it Temple’s prestigious LLM Trial Advocacy program, in addition to teaching Employment Law Practice and Procedure at Rutgers-Camden, her alma mater.  In addition to her active employment law practice that serves the Philadelphia region, she teaches trial advocacy for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, which named her as a distinguished faculty member. “Best Lawyers in America” has listed Ms. Pierce as one of the field’s top employment lawyers since 1995. And since 2004, she has consistently been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer® by Thomson Reuters, published annually in Philadelphia magazine. Ms. Pierce was recently inducted as a Fellow to the prestigious College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.

Among her career highlights, Patricia Pierce secured a $2.5 million verdict on behalf of a sales manager who was sexually harassed at work; a $300,000 verdict for a client who was subjected to ethnic harassment; and with Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt & Flores criminal defense lawyer James Funt, a $4 million verdict against the University of Pennsylvania on behalf of a former School of Dental Medicine faculty member; as well as numerous other notable verdicts and settlements.
