Profile

For more than 25 years, Roberta "Bobbie" Pichini has represented seriously injured babies, children and adults. She has litigated scores of medical malpractice cases, including obstetrical negligence resulting in brain-injured children, delay in diagnosis of cancer, emergency room errors, and patient abuse by therapists. She successfully prosecutes product liability actions and is especially proud of a suit against a major manufacturer of children's cribs which uncovered a defect that had caused the strangulation of many babies. Her diverse practice also includes representation of victims of catastrophic auto and boating accidents, including several victims of the Pier 34 collapse in Philadelphia. A case involving the drowning of a father and son while canoeing resulted, not only in a substantial monetary award, but also in the removal of the dangerous dam which caused their deaths. The first woman in Pennsylvania to be invited into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers (membership is limited to 500 lawyers), Ms. Pichini was elected the organization's first woman officer in 2003 and the first woman President in 2011. Ms. Pichini has also been invited to join the American College of Trial Lawyers and ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Ms. Pichini was named by the Legal Intelligencer as one of four women leaders in personal injury litigation in Pennsylvania. She was awarded the Sandra Day O'Connor Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association for professional excellence and advancing the role of women in the bar. Her move to Feldman Shepherd in 2004 was listed as one of the top lateral moves of the year. Roberta Pichini has been named a Super Lawyer each year the award has been given. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008,  2009 and 2010 she was recognized as a Top 50 Women Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, and a Top 100 Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
