Shane Kope leads his firm's practice in the areas of criminal defense, business litigation, and civil litigation. An accomplished trial attorney, Shane has represented hundreds of clients in state and federal courts. Shane is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University's Dickinson School of Law, where he served on the board of the Dickinson Law Review and was runner-up in ATLA's Moot Court Competition. Shane opened his own practice in 2004 as a solo practitioner and has since developed his practice into a tightly knit group of multitalented attorneys skilled in all phases of criminal defense, civil litigation, and family law. Shane is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Verdicts and Settlements:
- Cmwlth v. A.H. Criminal Defense. Not Guilty On All Counts. A.H. was facing two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute (Drug Dealing). After a 2 1/2 day jury trial, Attorney Kope secured a full acquittal for A.H., 2006
- Cmwlth v. J.B. - Criminal Defense. Not Guilty on "Causing or Risking a Catastrophe"; Guilty on "Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance"; Guilty on "Theft by Unlawful Taking." Although a jury found J.B. guilty of the offenses of "Attempting to Manufacture a Controlled Substance" and "Theft by Unlawful Taking," he was found not guilty of the more serious offense of "Causing or Risking a Catastrophe.", 2006
- Cmwlth v. J.S. - Criminal Defense. Not Guilty on All Counts. Defendant was facing 5 separate felony counts that would have cost him 5 years in prison at the very minimum. Mr. Kope presented the case before a jury and defendant was acquitted of all charges., 2008
- Cmwlth v. J.M. - Criminal Defense. Not Guilty on 4 out of 6 counts. After a full jury trial, Attorney Kope secured not guilty verdicts on the following charges for J.M.: 2 counts of Aggravated Assault (F1); 1 count of Simple Assault (M1); 1 Count of Criminal Mischief (M3). J.M. was only found guilty on 2 counts of Recklessly Endangering another Person (M2)., 2008
- Cmwlth v. J.F. - Criminal Defense. Not guilty on drug charges. Defenant was facing several charges, the most serious of which was several counts of possession with intent to distribute (drug dealing). After a two day trial, Mr. Kope convinced the jury to acquit the defendant of the drug charges, leaving the defendant with only minor crimes to face at sentencing., 2009
- S.P. v. A. Home Services - Business Law. Claims against Defendant (A. Home Services) dismissed; counter-cliams against Plaintiff (S.P.) granted.
Attorney Kope defended “A. Home Services” in a civil suit brought against the company by another company, “S.P.” Attorney Kope also counter-sued “S.P.” After a full hearing the claims against “A. Home Services” were dismissed while the counter-claims against “S.P.” were upheld., 2009
- Cmwlth v. T.L. Criminal Defense - Not Guilty On All Counts. T.L. was charged with attempted homicide, 2 counts of aggravated assault, and possession of an offensive weapon. After a 2 day jury trial, Attorney Kope secured a full aquittal for T.L., 2010
- Cmwlth v. M.J.
Criminal Defense - Prosecution Dropped All Charges.
M.J. was incarcerated after being charged with Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering another Person, Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, and Firearms not to be carried without a license. Attorney Kope negotiated a full dismissal of the charges at the Preliminary Hearing, thereby securing M.J.’s immediate release from prison., 2010
