For more than 20 years, Tom Marrone has creatively, aggressively, and successfully represented individuals in a variety of complex civil litigation matters, especially class actions, catastrophic personal injury claims, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, attorney malpractice, wrongful use of civil proceedings, HMO liability, product liability, and appellate advocacy. He has served as court-approved class counsel in cutting edge class actions involving, among others, privacy issues, insurance, HMO liability, fraud, consumer protection, and toxic substances. Tom heads the firm's Complex Litigation and Class Action group.A member of Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Tom has instructed other lawyers on class action litigation and on sophisticated insurance coverage matters, and has argued a number of cases before Pennsylvania’s appellate courts. He is a member of the Philadelphia and New York Bar Associations, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and Pennsylvania and American Associations for Justice. Tom Marrone has been honored by his peers as a Class Action/Mass Tort Super Lawyer and as one of the Lawdragon 3000 Leading Platiniff's Lawyers in America. Tom has earned a peer review rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell. According to Martindale-Hubbell this rating indicates "the highest level of legal ability and ethics. The pinnacle of processional excellence." Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tom received his undergraduate and law degrees from Villanova University, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy of Temple University, an intensive trial "boot camp" under the tutelage of premier trial lawyers and eminent judges. Tom is committed to providing legal services to those who cannot afford to pay a lawyer, and he maintains an active portfolio of pro bono matters from, among others, Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.Tom Marrone is admitted to practice in the State and and Federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the State of New York, and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
