Wayne R. Spivey primarily handles medical malpractice and pharmaceutical liability claims and has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. He was one of the first attorneys to represent persons infected with HIV as a result of transfused blood-derived products. He was co-lead counsel in the subsequent class action settlement ultimately resolving thousands of claims. As Chairman of the Seventh Amendment Liaison Committee he recently helped negotiate a $1.275 billion addition to the Fen-phen diet drug settlement and is in the process of helping to resolve tens of thousands of individual diet drug lawsuits.
