William G. Schwab provides strong counsel and experienced representation to clients throughout Pennsylvania. Located in Lehighton, the law firm of William G. Schwab and Associates focuses on bankruptcy, commercial and civil litigation. He was counsel of record in the US Supreme Court case of Schwab v Reilly where the Third Circuit Court of Appeals was reversed in a 6-3 decision in a nationally important matter dealing with exemptions. He speaks nationally on bankruptcy issues.
Attorney Schwab has served as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in Bankruptcy for more than 10 years and a school solicitor for more than 17 years. He is also a volunteer mediator for the U.S. District Court and a Domestic Relations Office hearing officer for Carbon County. He brings this wealth of experience and knowledge into play every day as he serves his clients.
Attorney Schwab graduated with his J.D. from the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia in 1976. In addition to practicing law, he is an active member of many civic organizations, and he was the founder and first president of Carbon County's United Way. He is also an author, editor, college-level lecturer and teacher at continuing legal education seminars.
