Morgan has a vigorous trial practice focusing on criminal defense and personal injury in State and Federal Court. He served previously as Deputy Solicitor for the 15th Judicial Circuit. He served in the South Carolina Legislature and as Chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation. He is a member of the NACDL and was selected to the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. Morgan has achieved Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating of AV and is considered preeminent in his field. He has participated in civil trials and settlements which resulted in multimillion-dollar awards and has tried over 50 murder cases, most recently in 2009, winning an acquittal in a complex Homicide by Child Abuse case.
