Luther J. Battiste, III is managing shareholder of Johnson, Toal & Battiste, P.A. He is a graduate of the Emory University School of Law. Mr. Battiste practices in the area of workers' compensation, administrative law, and complex civil litigation. He has served as President of the Columbia Lawyers Association, the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Battiste served on the Columbia City Council for 15 years, including two terms as Mayor Pro Tempore. He received the University of South Carolina Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award in 2000. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Association for Justice and the American Inns of Court.
