William "Bill" P. Hatfield is a partner at The Hyman Law Firm, LLP, which serves individuals, corporations and small- to midsized-business clients throughout South Carolina and is one of the largest litigation firms in the Pee Dee area. Bill has a trial practice with an emphasis on product liability litigation, wrongful death and serious personal injury claims, workers' compensation, Social Security Disability, commercial litigation and insurance bad faith. Since being admitted to practice in 1977, Bill has tried nearly 200 jury cases in three states and has argued appeals before the South Carolina Supreme Court, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, and the United States Supreme Court.
Bill is an advocate-level member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is one of only a few South Carolina attorneys to have earned certification as a civil trial specialist from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Bill is also an active member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, having previously served on its board of governors, a member of the American Association for Justice and a past member of the National Association of Social Security Claimant Representatives.
