Bob Pitts counsels companies and individuals regarding patent procurement and patent prosecution. He has served, along with partners, as outside patent counsel for high-tech startups which have sold for more than $1 billion. Mr. Pitts represents clients in federal court in patent and trademark disputes, and he and his partner, Brad Brittian, have been patent infringement trial counsel in two eight-figure and several seven-figure recoveries. He also defends clients accused of infringement. Mr. Pitts earned an electrical engineering Master of Science degree from University of Tennessee at Knoxville before attending law school. He and the Pitts & Brittian firm have been engaged in the private practice of worldwide intellectual property for over 30 years.
