From the natural limestone and mesquite floors and copper ceiling of the firm’s new museum-district offices, Laminack, Pirtle & Martines is a trial law firm proud of its Texas roots and its success in protecting clients’ interests in complex trials. Believing that a group effort is essential to success in and out of the courtroom, each of the firm’s lawyers brings unique skills and experience to form an outstanding team.
PRACTICE AREAS
The firm’s focus in the areas of personal injury, drugs and devices, commercial litigation and products liability represents its passionate interest for cases in which lives have changed suddenly and unjustly due to accidents or medical negligence. The firm also strives to be a leader in the pursuit of cases against the manufacturers of faulty medical devices and drugs with harmful side effects.
In the area of commercial litigation, the firm is committed to tireless and exhaustive preparation, which leads to an in-depth understanding of clients’ issues and is aimed at bringing closure, justice and full compensation. In the products liability arena, the firm fights battles for consumers, either individuals or groups, to obtain justice on product defects and hidden dangers in cases that are defended vigorously by manufacturers, and which can become difficult, extremely complex and potentially costly.
LAMINACK NAMED TO 2008 TEXAS SUPER LAWYERS®
Richard Laminack is the firm’s managing partner and a nationally recognized trial lawyer. During that time, he served as trial counsel in many groundbreaking cases.
Completing this team of committed attorneys, Tom Pirtle is a recognized leader in establishing corporate liability in complex cases, and his practice covers a number of fields that include civil litigation, products liability, complex litigation, mass torts and commercial litigation. Buffy Martines has worked extensively on a number of complex mass tort dockets, and her practice also includes commercial litigation and civil appeals.
“Together, we are able to draw on a wealth of sophisticated knowledge, creativity and wisdom to serve our clients,” says Laminack. “Whether a case is large or small, we treat each client with the attitude that theirs is the most important case we will ever try.”
