Andrew K. Meade was born in Bethel, Alaska. Mr. Meade graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a B.A. in English in 1998, and was president of the UNL chapter of Sigma Tau Delta – an International English Honor Society. He then earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Houston Law Center in 2001; he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Houston Law Review, Order of the Coif, and Order of the Barons. From 1994 through 2001, Mr. Meade served as an airborne soldier in U.S. Army National Guard, including overseas service in Germany.  After law school, Mr. Meade clerked for Judge Henry Politz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 2001-2002. From In 2002 to 2009, he worked at the boutique litigation firm of Hicks Thomas in Houston, Texas.
