 Brenda T. Cubbage has practiced business and commercial litigation in North Texas for 31 years. With an emphasis on construction, real estate, title insurance and general business litigation, Ms. Cubbage has represented a broad range of individual and business clients, both as plaintiffs and defendants, extensively in state, federal and bankruptcy courts throughout Texas. Ms. Cubbage co-authored, "The Complete Guide to Mechanic's and Materialman's Lien Laws of Texas", from 1985 to 2006, a publication that has been cited as authority by numerous courts in Texas, including the Texas Supreme Court.

Ms. Cubbage is also a certified attorney-mediator, and has successfully resolved thousands of disputes since 1990 in all areas of civil law, but particularly in real estate, construction, employment and eminent domain. She has been a CLE speaker on mechanic's lien law and the mediation of eminent domain cases. She also serves as a private arbitrator, primarily in the area of construction disputes. Ms. Cubbage is also licensed to practice law in Wyoming.

Ms. Cubbage helped to found the firm of Spencer Crain Cubbage Healy & McNamara pllc in 2008, a majority woman-owned law firm located in Dallas. In 2014, Ms. Cubbage re-joined the Dallas office of Patton Boggs LLP which combined with Squire Sanders in June 2014 to become Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP.

  • Ms. Cubbage has served as a Board Member of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and the Tejas Council since 2004. She regularly provides pro bono legal work to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and serves on various committees, including the Executive Committee. Ms. Cubbage received the Girl Scout Honor Pin in 2008. She has served as a judge for the National High School Mock Trial Championship. Ms. Cubbage has also assisted in home building with Habitat For Humanity in Dallas.
