Attorney Cassie B. Stinson has been practicing law for over 30 years. At her Houston firm, Cassie B. Stinson Law Office, she focuses her practice on commercial real estate, public and private partnership projects, business transactions and commercial real estate finance.
An honors graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Ms. Stinson has managed the public acquisition and development of mass transit facilities, including light rail, park and ride facilities, and maintenance facilities. In the private sector she has handled project development, construction contracts, leasing and management of office buildings and secured financing for construction loans. Her representation in the private non-profit sector includes significant public/private projects such as privatization of the Houston Zoo and creation and structuring of Discovery Green.
Ms. Stinson has given presentations on developing public spaces, condemnation, construction contracts and real estate contracts. She is licensed to practice within the state of Texas. Ms. Stinson is also a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association. She has received an AV* rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Transactions:
- Prepared documentation for an 80-year long public/private project for the construction, operating and maintenance of Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston, Texas -- Coordination and oversight of acquisition of 500 parcels for three light rail corridors, including environmental, appraisal, federal regulatory compliance and acquisition, including litigation support for eminent domain proceedings -- Created and represented nonprofit organization in transaction with City of Houston structuring the acquisition and development of Discovery Green, a major downtown central park -- In connection with the redevelopment of a regional shopping center, represented Wells Fargo Bank in two tax increment financing loans to a local redevelopment authority secured by a pledge of tax increment revenues from a tax increment reinvestment zone, and in three conventional real estate and construction loans to the private developer entity -- Created Houston Zoo Development Corporation (HZDC), a local government corporation, and Houston Zoo, Inc. (HZI), a private nonprofit corporation; negotiated and documented 50-year lease between City and HZDC, and 50-year operating agreement between HZDC and HZI; representation of HZI in ongoing general corporate matters, business contracts and facilities management issues -- Represented an international chemical company in the development of two cogeneration facilities and a synthetic gas plant in two different states Represented a petrochemical refining company in the development of a cogeneration facility in the Houston Ship Channel area, in connection with secured corporate financings, development of a cogeneration plant and in ongoing facilities management issues -- Representation of a community college district in connection with development of college campuses and educational, research and technology facilities, including land acquisitions, architectural and construction contracts, and build to suit leases
