Ms. Aversano is a partner of Aversano & Gold, a trial law firm, specializing in medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases. Ms. Aversano graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in History in 1987. She was a candidate for a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. She obtained her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1992. Ms. Aversano was formerly an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. While in that position, Ms. Aversano defended healthcare providers in medical malpractice lawsuits. After leaving her position with the State of Texas, her practice has concentrated in both the prosecution and defense of medical negligence and other types of complex personal injury cases. She has also handled cases involving legal malpractiice, professional negligence, product liability, workplace/construction safety, toxic torts, sexual assault, pharmaceutical litigation, automobile and truck wrecks, inadequate security, and nursing home negligence. While Ms. Aversano has a fulfilling career as an attorney, she is also active in the area of animal rescue and rehabilitation. Ms. Aversano has personally saved the lives of hundreds of stray dogs and cats and has volunteered her legal services in matters regarding animal welfare.
