Earl Dobson is the principal of The Law Office of Earl Dobson in Denton, Texas. An attorney for more than 17 years, he focuses his practice on criminal defense.
He is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and brings valuable insight to criminal defense cases as a former prosecutor. Before founding his own law firm, he worked as chief felony prosecutor with the Denton County District Attorney's Office. His other positions in the District Attorney's Office included chief in the Intoxication Impact Court and vice/obscenity prosecutor. He was the trial prosecutor in Carmell vs. Texas, a published opinion by the United States Supreme Court.
As a defense attorney, Earl has handled well over a hundred criminal jury trials in Denton County. He represents clients in felony and misdemeanor cases involving DWI, drug charges, sex crimes, theft charges, computer crimes, domestic violence and assault, juvenile crimes and delinquency, probation violations and murder.
Among his legal affiliations, he has served on the board of directors for the Denton County Bar Association and the legislative committee for the Texas District and County Attorney's Association. He also is former president of the Greater Denton County Young Lawyers Association.
