Jacob Newton is a shareholder of Stutzman, Bromberg, Esserman & Plifka, and practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and business reorganization. Mr. Newton has represented debtors, trustees, creditors, and creditors' committees in a wide range of bankruptcy-related litigation, including fraudulent transfer actions, claims litigation, turnover actions, and DIP financing disputes. Prior to joining SBEP, Mr. Newton served as law clerk to the Honorable Bill Parker, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Newton attended Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, earning his B.A. in 1998. He is a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Arkansas School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2001. Mr. Newton is licensed to practice law in Texas and Arkansas.
