Profile

Jay Norton is a 1985 graduate of St. Mary’s School of Law. He is a member of the Nation Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association, Board Member of the San Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and San Antonio Bar Association. He was a prosecutor in the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, where is served as a Chief Felony Prosecutor in District Court (among other positions) and Chief Prosecutor of the DWI Task Force. Jay left the district attorney’s office in 1992, after capturing the attention of his then opponent, Alan Brown, subsequently establishing the Law Offices of Brown & Norton. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases throughout his career. He is also a Board Member and Cycling Coach to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
