Profile

In 1983 I graduated Cum Laude from Baylor Law School and in 1988 I became board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Specialization. My wife Ann and I have been happily married for 28 years and we have two wonderful daughters. Our oldest daughter Heather received her undergraduate degree from SMU and her master's degree from Oxford. Our youngest daughter Lauren received her undergraduate degree from Furman and is currently working on her Ph.D. from Harvard. My practice has focused upon civil trial law with an emphasis in medical malpractice defense, personal injury defense, commerical litigation, probate (will contest) litigation and oil and gas law. I have also had an active civil appellate practice with over 50 published appellate decisions. In 2005, I was proud to be inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers at the age of 47. During my extensive career in civil litigation, I have tried many civil cases to verdict which have involved complex litigagtion.
