Joshua Skinner is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, and member of Fanning Harper Martinson Brandt & Kutchin, P.C. Since joining the firm in 2003, Joshua’s practice has focused on school litigation, employment litigation, local government defense and appellate advocacy. He also serves as assistant general counsel and employment law counsel to various public and private entities, and has served as counsel on a wide range of civil rights and employment cases and appeals.
Joshua earned his undergraduate degree in English at the University of Dallas and his law degree from the Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A frequent speaker on civil rights and employment law issues, Joshua presented a program on “Lawsuits Against the Government” for the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting in 2010, and served as a co-author of “Hot Topics in Constitutional, Civil Rights, Local Government, and Employment Law,” published by the firm.
Joshua is licensed to practice in all Texas courts, all United States District Courts in Texas, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
