Knox Fitzpatrick is a founding partner of Fitzpatrick Hagood Smith & Uhl LLP, a Dallas law firm with a primary focus on providing white collar criminal defense for individual and corporate clients throughout the Metroplex, the state of Texas and nationwide.
Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in criminal law, Mr. Fitzpatrick has successfully represented high-level executives, doctors, school officials, police officers, securities industry professionals, corporations and others charged with offenses ranging from securities fraud and wire fraud to conspiracy to distribute drugs and capital murder. Mr. Fitzpatrick's skills have been sought not only for cases in his home state of Texas, but in other states as well, including Oklahoma, Louisiana, Illinois, New York and Florida.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is a 1978 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office in 1979, served as General Counsel to the Governor of Texas from 1990-1991, and returned to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office where he was named Prosecutor of the Year for 1993 by the State Bar of Texas.
