Michael A. Hawash was born and raised in England.
In 1981, Mr. Hawash immigrated to the United States with his family. Mr. Hawash attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Bachelor of Arts in History.
In 1994, Mr. Hawash obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where he also received numerous honors and awards for trial and oral advocacy.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Hawash has worked for a number of the nation’s most prominent law firms, including: the Washington D.C. based lobbying firm of Verner, Lipfert, Bernhard, McPherson, Hand, Chartered, once recognized by many as the nation’s most powerful law firm; the New Orleans based firm of Adams and Reese, LLP, one of the most well-recognized and influential law firms along the Gulf Coast; and, the Chicago based powerhouse of Seyfarth Shaw, LLP, one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious law firms. While with the aforementioned firms, Mr. Hawash successfully represented many of the world’s largest corporations and insurance companies in hundreds of lawsuits.
Today, Mr. Hawash uses his vast experience to represent both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of commercial disputes. Mr. Hawash has and continues to accept a broad spectrum of cases, including those arising out of: professional malpractice; insurance bad faith; insurance coverage; fraud; breach of contract; deceptive trade practices; construction litigation; Uniform Commercial Code violations; breach of fiduciary duty; intellectual property misappropriation; oil and gas litigation; commercial arbitration; and other general business disputes.
Licensed to practice law in all courts throughout Texas, Mr. Hawash has frequently been admitted pro hac vice by the bar associations of many other states. In addition to traditional court cases, Mr. Hawash also handles arbitrations brought under the American Arbitration Association (AAA), Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services (JAMS) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules.
When not practicing law, Mr. Hawash indulges his passion for military history by visiting and exploring great battlefields all over the world.
Mr. Hawash resides in Houston, Texas with his wife, Tori, and sons, Luke and Gray.
