Mike DeBruin is an active, “hands-on” attorney known for his creativity, attention to detail and effective communication skills. He is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a former member of the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Child Support and Child Visitation.

Mr. DeBruin has also written articles and made presentations at family law seminars on trial skills, the tax aspects of divorce, asset tracing and the problems of child support.

Mr. DeBruin has been honored for his hard-working approach. Each year, he makes the list of Texas Super Lawyers and is selected one of Texas' Best Lawyers. Mr. DeBruin was born February 22, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota (B.A.,1977) and the South Texas College of Law (J.D., 1980).
