Profile

Peter Ayers, a Principal in the Austin office of McKool Smith, focuses his trial practice on complex technical cases involving patent infringement and trade secret litigation. He has considerable experience at both the district court, especially in the Eastern District of Texas, and the appellate court level.  Before joining McKool Smith, Mr. Ayers served as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Jay Plager at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He also holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in electrical and computer engineering.
