Roy R. Barrera, Jr. began his career in 1976 as a prosecutor for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. In 1980, at the age of 28, he was appointed by former Governor Bill Clements, Jr. to serve as State District Judge for the 144th District Court, Bexar County. Six years later, he joined his father Roy R. Barrera, Sr. and Anthony Nicholas in the practice of law at Nicholas and Barrera, P.C. Mr. Barrera has successfully tried hundreds of jury trials in state and federal courts, representing individuals in both civil and criminal matters including divorce, white collar offenses and complex civil disputes.
