Scott H. James is one of the founding partners of Scanes, Routh & James, LLP, in Waco, Texas. His legal practice is focused primarily on business litigation, eminent domain and condemnation, real estate litigation, and oil and gas law. A magna cum laude graduate of Baylor Law School, Mr. James was the highest ranking student in his commencement class. He also has an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas, where he graduated magna cum laude. Mr. James has handled and tried a wide variety of civil cases and has successfully represented both sides of the docket in complex litigation matters. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several civic organizations, including Legacy Outfitters, Inc. and the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.
