Sonia Ansari is an immigration and citizenship attorney based in Austin.  She helps individuals and companies with a range of immigration matters, including family and employment-based permanent residency cases; temporary family, work, and investor visas; U.S. citizenship; affirmative and defensive asylum applications; deportation defense; and immigration-related litigation.  She regularly represents clients before the Bureau of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and in Immigration Court.  Ms. Ansari serves on the Board of Directors of American Gateways (formerly known as the Political Asylum Project of Austin), a Central Texas non-profit that provides free and low cost legal services to asylum seekers, immigrant victims of domestic violence, victims of human trafficking, and immigrant detainees.  She always maintains one pro bono case through American Gateways and currently serves as Programs and Services Champion.
