Steven Lownds represents clients in complex business litigation in a wide range of industry sectors, including banking and securities, construction and real estate. He has served as lead trial counsel in more than 50 trials and arbitrations, including commercial claims and business disputes involving construction delays, fraud, defective design, contracts, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, corporate control, trademark infringement, commodities trading and deceptive trade practices. Mr. Lownds’s consistent success in court has been based on his ability to condense and theme complex transactions and facts into simple and persuasive presentations. In addition, Mr. Lownds has served as lead appellate counsel in cases before the Courts of Appeal in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Amarillo, and Corpus Christi, as well as the Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits. He has also served as an arbitrator in more than 100 arbitrations, and is an appointee to the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial, Construction and National Mass Claims Panels.
