Profile

Walker primarily handles eminent domain, commercial, and personal injury cases on a contingency basis. He has tried more than fifty cases to a jury verdict. Walker has tried cases throughout Texas, but primarily in Harris County and its surrounding counties. He has represented plaintiffs and/or defendants in commercial and personal injury cases ranging in complexity from securities fraud, real estate fraud, antitrust violations, breaches of fiduciary duty, and professional malpractice to matters involving simple negligence and breach of contract issues. More than 80% of his eminent domain practice has been devoted to representing property owners. However, he has also represented a few condemning authorities in eminent domain matters. For example, he successfully represented the Fort Worth Sports Authority in acquiring the numerous properties neccesary to construct the Texas Motor Speedway Project in north Texas. After nearly twenty years as a partner with Vinson & Elkins, LLP, Walker recently established his own law firm to continue his success in recovering compensation for the harm that others have inflicted on his clients. By having his own independent practice, Walker feels he has very few, if any, conflicts that might preclude him from representing and advancing the claims of those who need his help.
