Wesley Hill provides clients with courtroom experience in a variety of intellectual property and commercial litigation cases, including trying many cases to verdict in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Hill serves as chairman of the Eastern District of Texas Local Rules Committee. In addition to his expertise in patent cases, Mr. Hill also represents clients in commercial litigation, breach of contract disputes, oil & gas litigation, and federal criminal cases. His trial successes include multimillion-dollar plaintiffs’ verdicts and no-liability findings for defense clients.
Mr. Hill has helped clients resolve hundreds of disputes. In every case he accepts, he builds a legal strategy around his client’s priorities to help them reach their objectives, whether through litigation, settlement or trial. Mr. Hill is a frequent panelist, moderator and lecturer on the topic of practicing law in the Eastern District of Texas, including how the venue’s “rocket docket” works, winning strategies for litigating in the district, and the costs and procedures of eDiscovery and electronic case management. Mr. Hill earned honors on the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2011, marking his peer recognition as one of the state’s top young attorneys. The Martindale-Hubbell peer-review publication has given Hill a distinguished “BV” certification based on his high ethical standards. Other honors for Hill include the Order of the Coif; the National Order of Barristers; Best Advocate at the Texas Young Lawyers Association State Moot Court Competition in 2000; and Fourth Best Advocate at American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2001.
