Named to Washington DC Super Lawyers® for 2008 and Virginia Super Lawyers for 2007, Gerald Schwartz is honored to have served as president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association during its 2006 - 2007 year. As president, Schwartz met with members of the Virginia Legislature to advocate for the rights of people injured by others’ negligence. “In today’s difficult times, fueled by propaganda of tort reform, our clients need us more than ever,” Schwartz says. “Trial lawyers stand alone at the bridge of responsibility holding wrongdoers accountable.”

Gerald Schwartz has given more than 50 lectures to other lawyers on how to handle personal injury cases. The Virginia State Bar has regularly selected him to lecture to new lawyers on personal injury law at the Virginia State Bar’s First Day in Practice seminar. Schwartz is a faculty member and a board member of the Virginia College of Trial Advocacy. In October 2007, Schwartz was honored to present the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association’s “Master of Advocacy” seminar. He is also a pharmacist whose medical background helps him better understand his clients’ injuries and medical treatment.
