A. Hugo Blankingship, III concentrates his practice on civil litigation in the United States District and Appellate Courts with an emphasis on FCRA, ECOA, and TILA claims arising out of identity theft and automobile purchase transactions. He also accepts business, construction and civil litigation cases in the state and federal courts. His appellate work includes arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Virginia and multiple reported decisions in the Fourth Circuit. After graduating from the University of Virginia (1982) and Marshall-Wythe School of Law (1986), Hugo served as a law clerk to the Hon. Albert V. Bryan, Jr., Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Virginia (Alexandria Division). He is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and received his AV rating in 1997.
