Profile

Douglas Burtch represents employers, executives and professionals in virtually all matters arising in the workplace. His practice encompasses both counseling and litigation, in court and before various administrative bodies. 

Douglas helps clients with a variety of workplace issues, including: employment discrimination and retaliation claims; wage and hour claims; employment agreements and severance plans; human resource policies and procedures; employee handbooks; job descriptions; employee benefits; leaves of absence; hiring, compensation, and discipline issues. He also advises clients on restrictive covenants (such as non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements), trade secret protection, business torts, and defamation.

Working with employers, Douglas conducts preventative and compliance training sessions, employment practice audits, and workplace investigations. In addition, he speaks to employers, trade associations, bar groups and law students on a variety of employment and labor law topics.
