Mr. Butler's practice emphasizes employment litigation and class action cases for private and public employees on a wide range of issues.  His cases often attract statewide and national media attention.  Mr. Butler has represented both the CEO and the maintenance man; the police officer and the ex-convict; the teacher and the student; the general counsel and the paralegal; the City Manager and the city worker; the department store manager and the part-time clerk.  All are employees, and he has helped them receive what they were due under the law.  Mr. Butler graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1981, practiced in Texas from 1981-1986 and has practiced in Virginia since 1986.  He is a founding member of the Firm.
