Kimberley Ann Murphy, Esq., has been a partner and principal attorney of the law firm of Hale Carlson Baumgartner, PLC, in Fairfax, Virginia, since 2005. She served as an associate for the firm since she was admitted to practice in 2000. Ms. Murphy represents clients in all matters of administrative law, estate and trust planning and litigation, family law and business law such as incorporation, planning, sale/purchase and litigation.
Since receiving her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2000, Ms. Murphy has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States (2007), the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals (2003) and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (2000). She has appeared on numerous occasions before many circuit courts throughout the Commonwealth, in addition to the Court of Appeals of Virginia, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Virginia Department of Health Professions Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
Ms. Murphy is a member of the Order of the Barristers, the Virginia Bar Association (Wills, Trusts and Estates; Administrative Law; and Young Lawyers sections), the American Bar Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, and the MSU-DC Alumni Association Executive Board. She is also a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, and has published several articles regarding estate law and other key practice areas she handles.
