Profile

Ronald R. Tweel concentrates primarily on the practice of domestic relations and the representation of personal clients such as Muhammad Ali and Patricia Kluge. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1968, magna cum laude, and from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1971. In 1979 he was appointed substitute judge for the 16th District and remained there until 2003 when he resigned in protest of the Iraq invasion. He has taught at various times at the University of Virginia School of Law. He is the Past Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Virginia State Bar and of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He was selected into the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation. He was recently selected to be a member of the Virginia Bar Council.
