Shannon J. Briglia is a partner with the construction law firm of BrigliaMcLaughlin, PLLC, where she concentrates her practice in the resolution of public and private construction disputes.  Ms. Briglia frequently represents sureties but also has a thriving practice representing owners, contractors and subcontractors.  Her 20 plus years of experience in the construction industry includes representing clients in federal and state court trials and appeals, arbitration, mediation and before commissions and boards of contract appeal.  Ms. Briglia is a member of the American Bar Association, Forum on Construction, in addition to the Public Contract Law Section and the Fidelity & Surety Law Committee.  She is an active member of the Virginia State Bar's Construction and Public Contracts Section and is a member of the Board of Governors of that Section.  Ms. Briglia is the past chair of the Defense Research Institute's Fidelity & Surety Law Steering Committee and the past Secretary of the Virginia Bar Association's Council on Construction and Public Contracts.
